VOV.VN - The Hanoi International Gifts and Handicrafts Fair 2022 (Hanoi Gift Show 2022), officially kicked off on October 20 in Hanoi, with the event featuring the participation of hordes of local and foreign businesses showcasing their products across 460 pavilions.
As part of his opening speech at the event, Nguyen Manh Quyen, vice chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, emphasized that after a decade of organisation, the Hanoi Gift Show has affirmed its role as a prestigious handicraft export fair in the Asia-Pacific region. Indeed, the event has attracted nearly 5,000 booths from over 2,000 businesses from more than 30 countries around the world.
The purpose of the occasion is to continue helping supporting enterprises, production facilities to promote their handicraft products, restore production and businesses, seek customers, develop into international markets, as well as expanding key export markets.
As a means of strengthening trade connectivity between buyers and sellers efficiently, all the booths will be also promoted through the Internet to serve online trading activities.
Simultaneously, businesses and production facilities will be supported by organizers to introduce their products on domestic and foreign e-commerce channels.
The area exhibiting handicraft items with new designs will serve as the highlight of the fair this year, which will help both visitors and businesses grasp the latest activities in the local handicraft industry.
Moving forward, the event is scheduled to run through to October 23.
