VOV.VN - A street carnival themed "Flowers and Heritage" opened on the evening of December 6, with the event taking place at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat.
The function was held as part of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 andattracted the participation of 14 art groups, 40 gong artists, and 10 flower cars.
In his opening speech, Dang Quang Tu, chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, said the carnival offers a vibrant, colourful musical street festival for both local people and tourists to enjoy.
With the ultimate aim of preserving and promoting the value of the natural and cultural heritages of Da Lat city, which has been honoured by UNESCO as a creative city of music, the event has also contributed to elevating Da Lat as a wonderful creative space specifically for those who love art and flowers, he noted.
The programme was held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the parade route departing from Lam Vien Square Fountain to Tran Quoc Toan Park and the Flower Garden.
The flower cars are beautifully decorated under the theme of Da Lat's scenic spots and culture.
