VOV.VN - A total of 70 spring flower markets are set to be launched throughout the capital for the purposes of shopping, sightseeing, and entertainment for visitors to enjoy in the build-up to the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
The festive period will see Hanoi play host to an extensive range of flower markets from January 8 to January 28, with these days being the eighth day to 29th day of the 12th lunar month.
Guests visiting these markets will be able to purchase a wide variety of different types of flowers, ornamental plants, fruit trees, and handicraft products, all of which are typically found during the festive season.
Furthermore, traditional markets will be set up across the capital, with Hoan Kiem district hosting a flower market in Hang Ma ward, whilst Hai Ba Trung district will have flower markets in Thong Nhat (Reunification) park and Tuoi Tre (Youth) park.
Additional markets will also be opened up in other districts around Hanoi, including in Long Bien district, Bac Tu Liem district, Tay Ho district, and Ha Dong district, among others.
Local authorities will duly be assigned to ensure traffic safety and order in areas around the flower markets, as well as ensuring environmental sanitation for the duration of the markets.
