VOV.VN - Fireworks are set to illuminate the night skies at five venues across the capital city of Hanoi on September 2 to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day, announced the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee.
The fireworks will light up the skies over Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, and West Lake. The displays are to inspire national pride, unity, and excitement among residents of the capital.
In addition to the fireworks, Hanoi will hold a series of celebratory events to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). Highlights include a national scientific conference on major milestones, an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) programme, water puppet shows, an exhibition showcasing the capital’s socio-economic progress, and a large-scale military parade.
