VOV.VN - The Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2025 will take place from October 1 to 7 in Hanoi and northern Thanh Hoa province, under the 2021-2025 cooperation plan between Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Laos’ Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
A delegation from the Lao Ministry of Culture and Tourism, led by Deputy Minister Vansy Kouamoua, will visit Vietnam to meet with leaders of the Vietnamese ministry, preside over an opening ceremony of the event, and work with Thanh Hoa provincial leaders.
The week-long event will feature a range of special art programs, beginning with the opening ceremony on October 2 at the Hanoi Opera House, highlighted by a performance from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic art troupe.
Audiences in Thanh Hoa will enjoy a performance by the Lao art troupe at Lam Son Theatre on October 4. The troupe will also participate in the art program of the first “World Cultural Festival in Hanoi” at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2025 aims to strengthen cultural ties and promote mutual understanding, while introducing the unique traditional values of Laos to Vietnamese friends.

Sixty-three years have passed since the establishment of Vietnam – Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962), the Laos – Vietnam Combatant Alliance Museum in Dong village, Sepon district, the Lao province of Savannakhet, stands as a powerful reminder of the two nations’ enduring solidarity.
