According to the organizers, the competition aims to present the beauty, value and diversity of Vietnam’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage as well as natural heritage, bringing heritage images closer to domestic audiences and international friends.

The event also seeks to encourage, particularly among younger people, greater awareness and responsibility in preserving heritage, while building a high-quality visual archive to support cultural tourism promotion.

Eligible participants include Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and above, both at home and abroad, as well as foreign nationals living and working in Vietnam.

Submitted works should reflect one of the major themes: tangible cultural heritage; intangible cultural heritage; natural heritage; people in connection with heritage; and documentary heritage, world biosphere reserves and global geoparks.

Each entrant may submit up to 10 works, either single images or photo series, with clear information on location and shooting time. Images must be produced using documentary or realistic methods, with composite or manipulated photos not accepted. Authors are responsible for the copyright of their submissions.

The submission deadline is September 30. The awards ceremony and exhibition are scheduled for November 2026. Detailed information on rules, prize structure, judging panel and submission procedures is available on the official channels of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
