VOV.VN - "Huu Nghi: Singapore & Vietnam 50-10 Exhibition" is taking place at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi from September 9 to 14 to promote friendship and diplomatic partnership between the two countries.
The exhibition will see a total of 14 visual artists from both nations come together to tell the story of mutual friendship through works that reflect the history and culture of the two peoples.
The event is being jointly organised by Maya Gallery of Singapore and Chau & Co Gallery of Vietnam with the aim of commemorating the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.
Themed "Huu Nghi," which means "friendship" in Vietnamese, the artists explore the "subject matters through which they can find commonalities, even synergies between the two countries" (excerpt from Vanessa Yeo's curatorial essay).
This includes aspects such as cultural values and symbolisms, unity and harmony, society, natural landscapes, and the built environment. Beyond an art exhibition, it's a testament to the enduring bonds and spirit of cooperation that exists to unite both nations.
Supported by the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi and Singapore Global Network, the exhibition emphasises mutual understanding and appreciation, fostering deeper connections among people.
