
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City is set to host the Vietnam Revolution Film Week on April 23 – 24 and on May 7 – 8 to mark the 47th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30).
A number of award winning films will be screened at the event, including Canh Dong Hoang (Wild Field), Bao Gio Cho Den Thang Muoi (When The Tenth Month Comes), Ai Xuoi Van Ly (The Long Journey), and Doi Cat (Sandy Lives).
Audiences will also have the chance to participate in an exchange with famous guests who have contributed significantly to the development of the Vietnamese film industry, including director Nguyen Quang Dung, Meritorious Artist Cong Ninh, Meritorious Artist Dang Luu Viet Bao, director Le Hoang, and actress Hong Anh among others.
The Vietnam Revolution Film Week is to promote activities which honour cinematic works about the Vietnamese Revolution. It will also help young people to gain more experience about Vietnamese history and culture, as well as improving the knowledge of students about local arts, culture, and cinema.
VOV.VN - ASEAN Film Week 2022 is set to get underway in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City in the second quarter of the year to mark ASEAN’s 55th founding anniversary.
VOV.VN - A Vietnamese Film Week will be introduced for the first time at World Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 30 to January 5, 2022, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
