VOV.VN - Vietnam’s traditional dishes and handicraft products fascinated foreign friends at the UN International Bazaar 2023 held in New York on June 6.
Most notably, the "Vietnam Kitchen" booth made a hugely positive impression on participants with an array of popular dishes and drinks such as Hanoi spring rolls, Saigon bread, sesame donuts, green bean soup with coconut milk, and iced milk coffee.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, head of Vietnam’s permanent delegation to the UN, emphasised that the bazaar would help introduce Vietnamese culture to the international community, especially to the diplomatic corps in New York, while simultaneously making practical contributions to implementing UN goals.
The UN International Bazaar annually organised by the UN Women's Guild seeks to promote exchanges and strengthen connectivity among member countries, as well as raising funds for the humanitarian crisis relief projects managed by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF).
This year's fair was held on a large scale after a two-year hiatus caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It featured nearly 100 stalls selling handicraft products and traditional dishes of UN member countries.
