Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design on the horizon

Such activities will take place in Hanoi from November 16-22 and Ho Chi Minh City from November 29 to December 5, heard an event jointly held by the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) and RMIT University Vietnam on October 30.

VICAS Director Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong said with the theme “Re-generation”, the festival focuses on environment, community and space, and culture and heritage. The activities aim to inspire the renewal, restoration, or revitalisation of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible.

Creative works are hoped to serve as a source of encouragement for the community to preserve green and sustainable spaces, she said, noting the organisers will prioritise those by young people.

The festival is expected to contribute to realising the targets set in the National Strategy on the Development of Cultural Industries.
