
VOV.VN - Local photographers Nguyen Khanh Vu Khoa and Pham Huy Trung both won prizes at the SkyPixel Annual Photo & Video Contest 2023.
According to the results of the competition, the piece “Silence” by Nguyen Vu Anh Khoa was placed sixth among the list top 10 wining photos.
The image was snapped at Tia Spring in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong back in 2023 and depicts a lonely old man sailing on a boat on the lake during the winter.
Meanwhile, the work “Hunting Together” of Pham Huy Trung came in at seventh position.
Trung shared that the photo captured the image of a Bryde's whale mother and her baby hunting in De Gi Bay in the central Vietnam during the early morning.
“This is one of the rare appearances of this whale species in the area and causes much excitement for those who see it,” he noted.
The competition was the ninth of its kind and was open to any content shot with a drone or a handheld camera. It marked the world's largest aerial photography award held annually by DJI, a technology company based in Shenzhen inn China.
Previously, female photographer Khanh Phan was awarded the Grand Prize of US$15,000 in the SkyPixel Annual Photo & Video Contest for a photo themed “Floral Dress”.
