VOV.VN - The Ministry of Industry and Trade will host a Vietnam-Cambodia trade and investment conference in An Giang province on October 17, aiming to boost trade promotion, import-export activities, and regional cooperation.
The event is expected to attract around 200–250 delegates, including leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities from both countries, representatives from business associations, and enterprises operating in key industries such as agriculture, forestry and fisheries, food, consumer goods, textiles, footwear, construction materials, machinery, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and trade services.
According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the conference will serve as both a policy dialogue and a networking platform, offering Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses a chance to share experiences and explore new cooperation opportunities.
“We hope this forum will enable business communities from both countries to access valuable information, connect with partners, and expand their networks in mutually beneficial sectors,” said a representative from Vietrade.
The conference will focus on improving trade and investment policies, developing border gate infrastructure and logistics, promoting cooperation in production and trade in key industries, expanding service trade and the digital economy and establishing long-term coordination among management agencies, associations, and enterprises from both countries.
Business leaders will also share practical insights and cooperation experiences, highlighting An Giang province's strategic role in bilateral trade and Cambodian enterprises’ participation in the regional value chain.
Key highlight of the event will be the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses and organisations, signaling concrete commitments to future collaboration in trade, production, and investment.
On the sidelines, a product showcase will feature standout goods from Vietnamese localities and Cambodian enterprises.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects this year’s conference will help both countries boost exports and strengthen the connection among production and distribution chains in border areas, thereby transforming the Vietnam-Cambodia border area into a vibrant trade hub within Southeast Asia’s supply chain.
The Vietnam-Cambodia Business Forum 2025 was held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 11, aiming to foster business linkages and expand investment opportunities between enterprises of the two neighbouring countries.
VOV.VN - Vietnam continues to be one of Cambodia’s most important trade partners in the first nine months of 2025, according to Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.
