VOV.VN - The Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week 2026 (DBFTW 2026) will take place from July 7-12, with policymakers, international organisations, experts, scientists, businesses and investors expected to discuss emerging trends in economics, finance, technology and innovation.
The information was released at a press conference held by the Da Nang People's Committee on June 16.
The event is intended to provide a platform for exchanges among policymakers, international organisations, experts, scientists, businesses and domestic and foreign investors, while facilitating the sharing of experience and discussions on new developments in economic, financial, technological and innovation-related fields.
According to the organisers, DBFTW 2026 will feature five main events: the opening ceremony; a high-level policy dialogue conference themed "New Growth - Innovation - Global City"; the Vietnam Finance Forum 2026; a workshop on strengthening linkages among government, universities and businesses; and the Da Nang Semiconductor and High-Tech Conference 2026.
The week will also include a range of side events, including site visits to key projects, exhibitions introducing the city's investment environment and financial and technology products, specialised international seminars, and programmes promoting business networking, innovation and startups.
The organisers expect the event to attract leaders of central government agencies, international organisations, financial institutions, business associations, experts, scientists, enterprises and investors from Vietnam and abroad.
Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said that as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, digital finance and semiconductor technologies create new growth drivers, Da Nang has significant opportunities to strengthen its competitiveness and further establish itself as a regional innovation hub.
"The city hopes the Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week will gradually develop into a reputable annual forum connecting policymakers, experts, businesses and investors from Vietnam and abroad, thereby promoting cooperation, attracting investment and creating new development opportunities," Minh said.
"The success of the event will be measured not only by the number of activities or participants, but also by the partnerships, projects and practical value generated after the week concludes," he added.
The Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2026, themed “Construction – Building Materials – Real Estate – Interior & Exterior Decoration,” opened on May 6, featuring nearly 1,000 booths from 220 domestic and international enterprises.
