Accordingly, the retail price of RON95-III, the most commonly used petrol, increased by VND131 per liter to a maximum of VND19,840/litre. E5 RON92 rose by VND122 per litre, capped at VND19,401/litre.

Notably, in this latest adjustment, biofuel E10 was listed for the first time at retail petrol stations, with a price of VND19,600 per litre. E10 is expected to be piloted in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang starting August 1.

In contrast, diesel prices dropped by VND61 to VND19,068/litre, while kerosene increased by VND86 to 18,714/litre. Mazut oil went up by VND154, reaching no more than VND15,533/kg.

In this pricing adjustment cycle, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance continued not to allocate or use the Petroleum Price Stabilisation Fund for all fuel products, including E5 RON92, RON95, diesel, kerosene, and mazut.

Since the beginning of 2025, fuel prices in Vietnam have seen 16 increases, 13 decreases, and 1 mixed adjustment.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, global fuel prices during the adjustment period from July 24 to July 30 were influenced by key factors such as a framework trade agreement between the US and the EU, rising US crude oil inventories, and the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict. These factors caused global oil prices to fluctuate by product category over the past week.

Petrol prices fall to below VND20,000 per litre in latest adjustment
