VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City is set to to hold a conference calling for greater investment into green growth development towards meeting its sustainable development goals and accelerating economic restructuring in association with innovating green growth models, according to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The conference, slated for January 24, is expected to offer an opportunity for municipal leaders to meet with foreign sponsors and investors, as well as both domestic and foreign experts to discuss key projects aimed at attracting green investment.
At the event, the city will introduce economic and social development orientations, specific policy mechanisms, and a draft strategic framework for green economic development, along with calling for investment in green growth projects in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.
Most notably, the city will introduce the Urban Flood Risk Management project in Thu Duc and a low carbon urban project.
The event will also provide an ideal platform in which business representatives and experts can propose solutions for Ho Chi Minh City to achieve green growth goals towards meeting its sustainable development targets.
