VOV.VN - The first ever international ginseng, aromatic, and medicinal herbs festival is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from May 24 to 26, hoping to promote brand value of local products in the herbal industry.
The debut version of the event will be attended by various domestic and foreign businesses and localities who have strengths in ginseng, flavourings, and medicinal herbs, including from Canada, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, and other Southeast Asian countries.
A total of 57 booths, including 32 from foreign exhibitors, will be displaying fresh ginseng and ginseng-based products.
Seminars and cultural and artistic programmes will also be part of the festival.
Furthermore, an exchange programme on delicious dishes made from ginseng and aromatic herbs will be held.
The first festival aims to promote the value of the ginseng and aromatic and medicinal herb industry, which is one of Vietnam's strong industries, according to the organisers. Among them, Ngoc Linh ginseng discovered in the Ngoc Linh mountain range in 1973 is one of the most precious and endemic medicinal herbs in the country.
VOV.VN - A trade fair displaying Ngoc Linh ginseng, the second of its kind to be held in the nation, is set to open both in-person and via online forms in order to honour the ginseng as a Vietnamese treasure.
Vietnam is striving to turn its ginseng into an international brand product with an aim to becoming a major ginseng producer of the world by 2045.
