VOV.VN - Vietnam saw 128,200 new enterprises registered with total capital of VND1,254.5 trillion in the first eight months of 2025, marking a 15.7% increase in the number of businesses and a 26.1% rise in capital compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
The added capital poured into the economy surged, giving a boost in both the quantity and quality of investment.
In August alone, more than 20,500 enterprises were newly established, showing a sharp rise from the previous month. Nearly 12,400 businesses resumed operations during the month, while a notable number of enterprises temporarily suspended or ceased operations, and several thousand completed dissolution procedures.
Overall, in the first eight months, combining newly established and reactivated businesses, Vietnam witnessed more than 209,000 enterprises entering the market, averaging over 26,000 per month. Meanwhile, on average 20,100 enterprises withdrew from the market each month. The data underscores the dynamic entrepreneurial activity and ongoing restructuring within Vietnam’s enterprise sector.
VOV.VN - More than 61,900 first were established in Vietnam with a total registered capital of VND568.7 trillion during the first five months of the year, marking a decline of 1.6% in the number of enterprises, and 25.3% in terms of registered capital on-year, according to figures given by the General Statistics Office (GSO).
