VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a directive calling on relevant ministries and localities to step up the supply and promotion of local products and brands at the first Spring Fair 2026 that is taking place in Hanoi.
According to the directive, the fair, running at the National Exposition Centre in Hanoi, from February 2 to 13, is expected to serve as a nationwide showcase of Vietnamese goods, culture and creativity.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to support trade promotion activities and facilitate businesses’ participation in displaying and popularising products at the fair.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was asked to work with national media agencies to strengthen coverage and promotion of the event and of signature regional products, helping enhance the ongoing campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to Vietnamese goods”.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was requested to coordinate with local authorities to select and introduce outstanding OCOP (One Commune One Product) items and regional specialties, while promoting the use of digital technologies and QR codes for product traceability and branding.
The Prime Minister also called on the ministries and localities to ensure strict quality control, prevent counterfeit and substandard goods, and select products that best represent local strengths and identity.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son will directly oversee the implementation of the directive, while the Government Office will monitor and report progress, according to the directive.
