Na, 59, joined Samsung Electronics in 1990 and has held various positions in the group before being appointed head of Samsung Vietnam.

Notably, from 2020 to 2024, as vice president of the Human Resources team at Samsung Electronics, he was recognized for his contributions to strengthening the group’s global competitiveness.

In his new position, Na expressed his commitment to leading the company’s development, maintaining its position as the largest foreign investor in Vietnam, and continuously contributing to the country's economic growth.

Samsung will always strive to strengthen its cooperative relationship with the Government, working towards mutual benefits while continuously earning the trust and support of the Vietnamese people, said the CEO.

Samsung established its first TV manufacturing plant in Ho Chi Minh City in 1995. In 2008, the company built the Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) mobile phone manufacturing plant in Bac Ninh. Today, Samsung operates six plants, one Research and Development (R&D) center, and a sales entity in Vietnam.

Samsung is currently the largest foreign direct investor in Vietnam, with a total investment of US$23.2 billion.

According to its 2024 financial report, Samsung Vietnam’s plants saw revenue growth of less than 1%, reaching US$56.7 billion, accounting for one-fourth of the total revenue of the global Samsung group.
