First direct flight brings 350 tourists from Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa
VOV.VN - A VietJet Air flight carrying 350 passengers from Almaty in Kazakhstan landed at Cam Ranh International Airport on October 25, marking the first direct service between the Central Asian country and Khanh Hoa province.
Cam Ranh International Airport hosts a welcome ceremony to mark the arrival of the first direct flight from the Kazak city of Almaty.
Le Huu Hoang, vice chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, offers flowers to tourists arriving in the nation from Kazakhstan.
Moving forward, there will be two flights per week running on the route, with a travel time of over nine hours.
In the past the central province has only received a modest number of visitors from Kazakhstan, partly due to the lack of direct flights. The first direct air route linking Nha Trang with Almaty is expected to meet the travel demand between the two countries.
During the opening 10 months of the year Khanh Hoa welcomes 190,000 foreign arrivals, 9.2 times higher compared to the same period from last year, with this figure set to continue to rise in the remaining months of the year.
