Hue pagodas decorated for Lord Buddha’s birthday celebration
VOV.VN - Many pagodas located across Hue in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue have been adorned with national flags, flowers, and lotus-shaped lanterns in order to mark Lord Buddha's 2567th birthday celebration.
Hue has put up an array of national flags, flowers, and lotus-shaped lanterns from May 26 to June 2 which aims to celebrate Lord Buddha’s birthday.
Thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns, worshippers, and local people will join the event which falls on the eighth to the 15th day of the fourth lunar month every year, or June 2 this year.
Dieu De is considered to be one of the 20 most renowned pagodas throughout Hue, with the site well decorated for the event.
National and Buddhist flags are hung around Truong Tien bridge.
Lotus-shaped lanterns can be seen at Huong river.
Many decorative items are put on sale, with these attracting plenty of buyers.
Pagodas across Hue are full of decorations which aim to celebrate Lord Buddha's 2567th birthday.
