National Day fireworks display lights up Ho Chi Minh City night sky

VOV.VN - A high-altitude fireworks display at the end of the Saigon River Tunnel area lit up the sky over Ho Chi Minh City on September 2 evening, fascinating both local residents and visitors in celebration of Vietnam’s 79th National Day.

At exactly 9p.m., high-altitude fireworks go off at the end of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc, a satellite city of Ho Chi Minh Metropolitan, while low-altitude fireworks explode at the Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

Unlike the morning when it rains, the weather improves significantly by the evening, providing favourable conditions for revelers to enjoy the fireworks display.

Many children are curious to watch the fireworks display on National Day celebrations.

It’s a rare opportunity for them to enjoy such a spectacular fireworks display that only goes off on special occasions.

A large number of people watch the fireworks display from Bach Dang Wharf.

This year, the high-altitude fireworks display features 1,500 high-altitude shells, 30 low-altitude firework racks, and 10 pyrotechnic setups.

The high-altitude fireworks are set off at the end of the Saigon River Tunnel.

. People use their phones to capture the memorable moments of the National Day fireworks display.

Many families bring their young children from outlying districts to the city center to watch the fireworks celebrating National Day (on September 2).

In addition to the spectacular fireworks display, local residents and visitors also enjoy a drone show celebrating the 79th anniversary of National Day.
