Nguyen Dynasty’s gold seal copies on display in Hue
VOV.VN - An exhibition showcasing 32 copies of gold seals of the Nguyen Dynasty is being held at Ngo Mon (Noon Gate) of the Hue Imperial Citadel in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue as part of the Hue Festival 2022.
The organisation of the exhibition is to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre.
The exhibition displays 32 gilded ceramic seals based on Nguyen Dynasty Gold Seal specimens.
These copies of the gold seals have been made by People's Artist Tran Do from the renowned Bat Trang pottery craft village in Hanoi.
The Nguyen Dynasty was the final Vietnamese dynasty which ruled the country from 1802 to 1945. The exhibition serves to reproduce part of the history of the Nguyen Dynasty from various stories of characters and events associated with the Hue Imperial Palace.
More than 100 seals cast in gold, silver, or crafted from precious gems were created during the 143-year rule of the Nguyen Dynasty.
The exhibition is scheduled to last through to the end of this year.
Many visitors are excited at posing for photos alongside historical items.
