VOV.VN - The ongoing Vietnamese Film Days in Russia opened at Kosmos cinema in Moscow on December 21, with five new Vietnamese films which won domestic and international prizes being put on show for audiences to enjoy.
The function is being held as part of ongoing cultural co-operation activities between both nations during the 2019 to 2021 period.
Counsellor Minister at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Nguyen Quynh Mai states that recent years has seen cultural co-operation between both sides witness strong growth with regular exchange activities.
Russian audiences line up as they enter the cinema. Each member of the audience must wear a face mask and follow novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control measures while participating in the event.
Free screenings are available throughout Vietnamese Film Days. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, organisers are unable to invite large audiences. Indeed, those attending must keep a safe distance apart when inside the cinema in an effort to curb the potential spread of COVID-19.
Five outstanding Vietnamese films are screened for the occasion, including “Hanh phuc cua me”, The Happiness of Mother, by director Pham Huynh Dong. The event is scheduled to last until December 25.
