Outstanding works honoured at National Press Awards on Party Building

VOV.VN - A total of 86 press works from all genres, including five from the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), were honoured at a ceremony for the ninth Búa liềm vàng (Golden Hammer & Sickle) National Press Awards on Party Building held on January 20 in Hanoi.

Upon addressing the ceremony on January 20, Party General Secretary To Lam praises the contributions made by media agencies nationwide, especially those covering the Party building work.

This year the organiser presents a total of six A prizes, 12 B prizes, 18 C prizes, and 40 consolation prizes to outstanding works. Photographed is Party General Secretary To Lam offering A prizes to individuals and collectives, including a group of authors from the Voice of Vietnam's VOV1 channel.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh hands over B prizes to winners. Among them, a group of authors from VOV’s bureau based in the northwestern region receive a B prize.

Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, and chairman of its Commission for Information and Education, awards C prizes to various individuals and collectives.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan delivers consolation prizes to winners, including those from VOV online newspaper and VOV1 channel.

The annual national press awards is part of activities held to celebrate the upcoming 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3).

The organising board of the ninth edition receives 2,544 entries, marking an annual increase of 14.8%. A total of 137 outstanding works made the final round of the awards.
