Overseas Vietnamese join trip to Truong Sa and DK1 platform
VOV.VN - A delegation consisting of 47 overseas Vietnamese (OV) from 22 countries around the world have visited citizens and soldiers based in Truong Sa island district in the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa, as well as DK1 platform.
The delegation joins soldiers in a national flag saluting ceremony held on Truong Sa island.
During the course of the visit from April 18 to April 23, the OVs engage in many activities, including exploring the daily life of locals in the island district, attending a flag hoisting ceremony, and offering incense to heroic martyrs.
The visit represents the 10th of its kind held by the State Committee for OV Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Naval High Command.
Delegates offer incense to the country’s heroic martyrs on April 20.
Vietnamese expats join in exchanges held with soldiers on Sinh Ton Dong island.
The delegation presents gifts to local children who reside on the island.
During the course of their visit, the OVs offer gifts and necessities to soldiers and people in the island district.
