Paragliding festival offers tourists fresh experience over Thung May lake
VOV.VN - A paragliding festival, the first of its kind, kicked off at Thung May lake in the central province of Nghe An on April 19, with the event greatly impressing thousands of visitors.
The festival is part of a series of activities being held to celebrate the 60th anniversary since the establishment of Quy Hop district in Nghe An province on April 19, 1963.
This marks the opening of the first paragliding festival hosted in the north-central region.
The function attracts 30 pilots from across the country.
The festival is expected to revive the local tourism industry after a long period of being heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival also features a wide range of activities, including a photo exhibition, cuisine booths, art performances, and folk games.
The event is expected to help the locality to popularise its stunning array of landscapes and friendly people to both domestic tourists and international friends.
