Sa Pa winter festival attracts visitors amid extreme cold spell
VOV.VN - Sun Group’s Sun World Fansipan Legend Company launched a winter festival in the tourist resort town of Sa Pa in Lao Cai province on December 19 to celebrate this year’s Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The festival is held in a 1,000-square metre snow village located close to the cable car station that leads to the peak of Fansipan mountain in the northern town of Sa Pa.
Those visiting the event have the chance to sample the festive atmosphere of a Japanese-style village ahead of Christmas.
The festival is to depict a unique winter event in Sa Pa, enabling visitors to enjoy an exciting Christmas atmosphere. It offers many new and interesting attractions, such as a giant Christmas tree made entirely of transparent crystal blocks, in addition to various entertaining musical performances.
The event provides a beautiful check-in spot for visitors who are keen to discover the local culture and to celebrate early Xmas this year in a truly cold winter.
Visitors have the opportunity to don traditional ethnic outfits and participate in various games during the event.
The annual festival is scheduled to last until January 31, 2021.
