Southeast Asian shooters on first competition day of ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet
VOV.VN - Hundreds shooters from 10 ASEAN countries put their talents on display in the first competition day of the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-30) held on November 7 at the National Military Training Center 4 on the outskirts of Hanoi.
The AARM-30 is the first competition of the armed forces of all ASEAN member states following a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organisers disclose the rules of the competition to all participants.
The contest has brought together a total of 420 marksmen from the armed forces of all 10 ASEAN member states, with the athletes competing in the five categories of machine guns, rifles, carbine guns, men's pistols, and women's pistols.

The Vietnamese team finishes third at the 29th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-29) which is held in Bandung city in West Java province of Indonesia. The first and second places go to Thailand and Indonesia, respectively.
The AARM-30 is scheduled to close on November 11 in Hanoi, with Thailand set to play host to the 31st ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-31).
AARM-30 is not only a competition for talented gunners from the various armed forces of ASEAN countries, but it is also an opportunity for them to strengthen solidarity, friendship, mutual understanding, and exchanges.
