Vietnam and Malaysia leaders visit Hanoi Book Street, sample coffee
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim and their spouses made a call at the Book Street and sample coffee in Hanoi on July 21.
PM Pham Minh Chinh invites PM Anwar Ibrahim who is in Vietnam for an official visit to make a tour of Hanoi’s Book Street and sample coffee.
Located between Hai Ba Trung and Ly Thuong Kiet streets, the Book Street is home to thousands of book entries along with cozy cafés. It is a favourite venue of bookworms in Hanoi.
The spouses of the two Prime Ministers are excited to visit and hear about the history of the Book Street.
The Book Street also houses a pavilion of Kim Dong Publishing House that publishes books for children.

In addition to book stalls, the Book Street also has spaces for exchanges between authors and bookworms, as well as e-book services.
The two PMs drop at a café nearby to sample specialty coffee of Vietnam.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presents ‘The Prison Diary’ – a collection of poems and articles written by President Ho Chi Minh when he was imprisoned by the enemy – to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also autographs the book ‘Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam’ by Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and presents it to the Malaysian Prime Minister.
The two government leaders spend half an hour exchange views on economic and cultural issues of the two countries.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expresses his impression of Vietnamese coffee flavour and reading culture, recalling that Vietnam is one of the leading coffee producers and exporters in the world.
