VOV.VN - Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and her spouse are due to pay a state visit to Vietnam from September 9-12.
The visit is made at the invitation of State President Luong Cuong and his spouse, Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on September 5.
During a three-day working visit to Australia from August 25 – 27, a delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA)'s Committee for National Defence, Security, and External Affairs led by its Chairman Senior Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi made courtesy calls on Senate President Sue Lines and House Deputy Speaker Sharon Claydon.
Professor Carl Thayer, a Vietnam specialist at the Australian Defence Force Academy, University of New South Wales, has said that Vietnam has undergone decisive transformations, building its role and position in the international arena.
