
VOV.VN - Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet will pay an official visit to Vietnam from December 11-12 at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
This is Hun Manet’s first visit to Vietnam in his capacity as Prime Minister of Cambodia.
Relations between Vietnam and Cambodia have developed positively over the years through regular contacts and meetings, helping to raise political trust and foster cooperation in various areas.
The two countries have maintained existing cooperation mechanisms, including the joint committee on economic, cultural and scientific and technological cooperation, and the cooperation and development conference between border localities of the two countries.
Economic and trade cooperation is considered a bright spot in bilateral cooperation, with two-way trade last year reaching US$6.5 billion.
Vietnam is currently Cambodia’s third largest trading partner, behind China and the United States, and the largest in ASEAN.
