
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam will pay an official visit to Russia and attend the 80th anniversary celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On this occasion, he will also pay state visits to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Belarus at the invitations of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The working trip is scheduled to take place from May 5 to 12, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During recent talks in Moscow, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed preparations for Party General Secretary To Lam’s coming trip and participation in the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War in Moscow.
Vietnam sent a 80-member delegation to take part in the May 9 military parade at Red Square in Moscow. Currently, Vietnamese troops are practicing in Moscow to prepare for the military parade alongside hosting troops and those from other countries.
