
VOV.VN - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) To Lam received Thongsalith Mangnomek, Chief of the Office of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), in Hanoi on May 30.
At the reception, Lam highlighted the importance of Mangnomek’s visit as both the CPV and the LPRP are actively implementing their Party Congress resolutions and preparing for upcoming national congresses in 2026. He affirmed that the visit further strengthens the special solidarity and traditional cooperation between the two Parties, particularly between their Party Central Committee Offices.
He commended the LPRP and the Lao government on recent achievements in socio-economic development, Party-building, defence, and diplomacy, attributing part of this success to the effective role of the LPRP Office. He reiterated Vietnam’s consistent support for Laos and expressed confidence in Laos’s continued progress under the leadership of the LPRP.
Emphasising the crucial role of the two Offices in assisting Party leadership and coordination, Lam appreciated the strong and effective cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao offices, particularly in sharing experience, coordinating high-level work agendas, and preparing for Party congresses. He encouraged both sides to continue effectively implementing their agreed cooperation plans.
Mangnomek, for his part, congratulated Vietnam on its historic achievements and expressed confidence in its continued success under the leadership of the CPV.
He briefed his host on Laos’s current situation, including the implementation of the 11th Party Congress resolution and preparations for the 12th Congress. He noted the positive outcomes of recent talks with CPV Office Chief Le Hoai Trung, especially the joint launch of a publication on the tradition of cooperation between the two Offices.
Mangnomek affirmed the LPRP Office’s commitment to fulfilling its responsibilities and contributing to the continued growth of the special Vietnam–Laos relationship, for the benefit of both peoples and for peace and development in the region.
