During his stay, the Russian legislator will co-chair the 4th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the State Duma of Russia.

The visit affirms the importance of parliamentary relations within the overall framework of the Vietnam–Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Established in 2018, the meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee serves as an important mechanism for the two parliaments to exchange legislative experience, carry out oversight, and promote the implementation of intergovernmental agreements.

Both sides discuss ways to strengthen parliamentary relations, propose solutions to foster cooperation in economy, trade, investment, energy, education, and labour, among others, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and create legal conditions favourable for citizens of both countries.
