VOV.VN - Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man will pay an official visit to Laos and attend the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45) from October 17 to 19, 2024.
The visit has been extended by President of the National Assembly of Laos Saysomphone Phomvihane, according to a press communique from the National Assembly’s Committee for Foreign Affairs.
Laos is assuming the role of presidency of ASEAN and AIPA this year.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith in Vientiane on October 8, during which he congratulated Laos - Chair of ASEAN in 2024 - on the successful organisation of the bloc’s important events.
