VOV.VN - The Government will continue supporting young entrepreneurs and startups through institutional reforms, innovation-driven policies and measures aimed at facilitating digital and green transformation.
The commitment was made Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang while honouring outstanding young startup entrepreneurs in Hai Phong City on June 10.
Thang emphasised that entrepreneurship in the new development era should go beyond business formation and be closely linked to science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and green transition, which are emerging as key drivers of economic growth.
He called on young entrepreneurs to continue playing a pioneering role in enhancing competitiveness, promoting innovation and integrating more deeply into global value chains.
According to the Deputy PM, the Government will continue improving the institutional framework to create a more transparent and business-friendly environment, alongside reducing compliance costs for enterprises.
Efforts will also focus on administrative reform, eliminating unnecessary business conditions and facilitating access to critical resources such as capital, land, technology, data, markets and high-quality human resources.
The Government will work to promptly address difficulties facing businesses in order to maintain a stable and supportive investment environment for startups and private enterprises, he told award recipients.
The Deputy PM stressed the need to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation among young people while fostering stronger links between startups, large corporations, universities, research institutes and investment funds.
He noted that deeper cooperation among stakeholders would help build a sustainable startup ecosystem capable of supporting innovation-led growth and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises.
At the event, organisers honoured 86 outstanding young startup entrepreneurs of 2026, including the Top 10 most distinguished entrepreneurs nationwide.
According to the organising committee, the award selection process involved multiple evaluation rounds and field assessments to ensure transparency and objectivity.
Businesses led by the award recipients generated combined revenue of VND4.45 trillion in 2025, recorded profits of VND95.8 billion, contributed more than VND48 billion to the state budget and created jobs for over 3,700 workers.
The Top 10 entrepreneurs alone reported revenue of VND1.89 trillion, profits exceeding VND37 billion and created nearly 730 jobs.
Ahead of the award ceremony, the Vietnam Private Sector Forum (VPSF) local dialogue session was held in Hai Phong on June 9, bringing together policymakers, economists and young entrepreneurs.
The forum served as a platform for businesses to raise concerns, discuss challenges and propose solutions aimed at improving the business environment and supporting the development of Vietnam's private sector.
