VOV.VN - More than 10,000 Japanese spectators and Vietnamese nationals took part in a special art programme as part of the Vietnam–Ho Chi Minh City Festival 2025, held at Edion Hisaya Plaza Park in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on the evening of November 8.
Featuring performances by Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, singers Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung, To My, music producer Khanh, and the ABC dance troupe, the event presented a vibrant artistic feast blending traditional and contemporary Vietnamese culture.
The night was filled with moving moments as songs, dances, circus acts, and modern performances conveyed a deep love for Vietnam. The most emotional scene came when singer Dong Hung led the crowd in singing the Vietnamese national anthem - a solemn and proud moment echoing across Japanese soil.
Earlier that morning, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam–Ho Chi Minh City Festival 2025 took place at the main stage of Edion Hisaya Plaza Park, attended by Aichi Governor Omura Hideaki, Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism Ambassador in Aichi and Head of the Festival’s Organising Committee Hirose Noriko, along with representatives from Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Finance, and the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC).
In his opening remarks, Tran The Thuan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, emphasised that the festival is a testament to the close friendship, strong coordination, and effective cooperation between the authorities and people of both localities, as well as the contribution of the city’s Tourism Ambassador in Aichi.
More than a cultural exchange, he said, the event symbolised the trust, friendship, and comprehensive partnership between Ho Chi Minh City and Aichi Prefecture - two of the most dynamic economic and cultural hubs of Vietnam and Japan.
Over the years, Ho Chi Minh City has been a trusted and close partner of Aichi, fostering cooperation across culture, tourism, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
The 2025 festival continues that spirit, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to deepening practical and sustainable cooperation, he stressed.
Through the performances rich in Vietnamese identity, the organisers aimed to deliver a message of friendship, solidarity, and shared aspirations for the future. Music, dance, and culture served as a bridge connecting souls and bringing the peoples of Vietnam and Japan ever closer together.
International friends had a chance to enjoy some of the traditional cultural values of Vietnam at an event held in Tokyo by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan on December 11.
VOV.VN - Vietnam Week 2025, held at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, from June 23 – 27 has been praised as a unique cultural event that honoured the richness and beauty of Vietnamese culture in Japan.
