Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on October 23 extended his condolences over the passing of former Japanese Prime Minister Murayama Tomiichi at the age of 101.
On the same day, on behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son came to the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to write in the funeral book in tribute to the late Japanese leader.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited and offered condolences to Akie Abe, the widow of late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at her home on September 28.
Leaders of Thailand, Brunei, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Republic of Korea (RoK), Mongolia, and Peru have sent messages and letters of condolence to Vietnam, following the death of former Politburo member and former State President Tran Duc Luong on May 20.
