Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane and the Lao NA delegation on December 7 paid a working visit to Que Lam group, a leading organic fertilizer maker in Binh Xuyen district, the northern province of Vinh Phuc.
The Lao NA leader said at a working session with the group's executives that the organic fertilizer production process of Que Lam group would be useful for Laos’ agriculture, and urged the group to explore cooperation with Laos in organic agriculture.
Earlier, the Lao delegation toured the Que Lam Biotech fertilizer plant and a model of biosafe organic pig farming run by Que Lam group.
After 20 years of development, Que Lam is a leading organic fertilizer producer in Vietnam with a network of 13 member companies, including eight fertiliser plants. The group has a total production capacity of over 1 million tonnes of fertilizer. Its products have been exported to Laos and Cambodia.
The Vietnamese National Assembly always treasures the relationship with its Lao counterpart and supports the Lao NA at international forums, stated NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong during her talks with visiting Lao NA Vice Chairman Sengnouane Xayalat in Hanoi on July 17.
The cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao governments have contributed to taking bilateral relations to new heights, said Lao National Assembly Chairwoman Pany Yathotou.
