The news portal Nau.ch quoted an article by the Keystone SDA news agency highlighting both nations’ aim to strengthen dialogue. According to the article, representatives from the foreign ministries of both countries signed a declaration of intent to organize regular dialogues during a meeting at the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos."
Specifically, at the meeting between Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation between the two foreign ministries was signed.
The article also quoted State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Alexandre Fasel, who stated that the MoU establishes a framework for regular political consultations on bilateral and multilateral issues in areas such as diplomacy, economy, culture, human rights, and sustainable development.
