VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela has established an emergency contact channel to keep track of developments following the United States’ attack on Venezuela on January 3, according to Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Trung My.
The ambassador confirmed that 29 staff members of Vietnamese representative offices and their family members, along with two Vietnamese construction engineers working in Venezuela and two Vietnamese expatriates, are all safe.
The embassy has advised Vietnamese citizens not to leave their places of residence and to stay in regular contact through the emergency contact channel. The citizen protection hotline in Venezuela is (+58)4242211016.
Following reports of the United States’ attack on Venezuela on January 3, Ambassador Vu Trung My confirmed once again that, as of the latest update, all Vietnamese citizens in Venezuela remain safe.
In recent days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), relevant ministries of Vietnam have held discussions and thoroughly studied plans for the safe evacuation of Vietnamese citizens and their assets from Israel and Iran to a third country or back to Vietnam, according to the MoFA’s spokeswoman Pham Thu Hang.
