VOV.VN - Police forces operating in the northern border province of Lang Son arrested 20 Chinese citizens who had entered Vietnam illegally.
The police noticed three suspicious cars at 1 a.m. on October 26 at the toll station of the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway. This prompted officers to conduct a search of the vehicles which ultimately led to the discovery of 20 illegal Chinese immigrants inside the vehicle.
None of the suspects were able to show any legal entry papers, and all the 20 Chinese nationals and the three drivers were then transferred to a police station for further investigations.
The arrest of the illegal immigrants comes after police officers discovered two Vietnamese drivers on October 25 who tested positive for drugs as they were travelling on the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway.
A further investigation is currently underway.
Competent forces in the northern border province of Lang Son have arrested 15 people involved in two illegal immigration rings.

VOV.VN - Police in Vietnam’s Mong Cai city said on August 23 they have detained a group of 11 Chinese citizens accused of organizing online gambling. Ten of the detainees had illegally entered Vietnam.
