Earlier on July 2 (local time), Vietnam’s rescue team, divided into multiple search units, continued operations in Playa Grande, La Guaira state, one of the areas hardest hit by Venezuela’s twin earthquakes.

The team recovered seven more bodies from the rubble and identified 12 additional locations where victims are believed to be trapped, handing the information over to local rescue and emergency forces. The Vietnamese team has so far recovered a total of 30 bodies from collapsed structures.

During the day, the team’s military medical unit also continued providing free medical examinations and medicine to local residents.

The same day, the Vietnamese delegation met with rescue teams from Cuba and Türkiye to exchange experience in disaster response, particularly in post-earthquake relief operations in Venezuela.
