VOV.VN - Police forces operating in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang stated on October 2 that they have successfully arrested two Vietnamese nationals for assisting local residents to illegally cross Vietnam's northern border.
They were identified as Vang Mi Giang, 33, residing in Ta Lung commune of Dong Van district; and Lau Mi Chu, 30 residing in Thai Phin Tung commune of Dong Van district.
According to details given by local police, once under questioning, the suspects confessed that they had transported several local residents living in Dong Van district across the border in order to work illegally.
At present, both suspects have been temporarily detained for four months to undergo a further investigation.
