VOV.VN - The Hanoi Police announced on October 9 that they have handed over a fugitive convicted of fraud to Korean authorities.
Kim Juchan has been on Interpol’s wanted list for fraud charges. The man ran an illegal online sports betting website which was operating in the Republic of Korea from November 2011 to April 2015.
All the money transacted through the website amounted to KRW1.4 billion, equivalent to VND27 billion.
Interpol issued an international arrest warrant for the Korean man in November 2020.
The Hanoi police sought whereabouts of the runaway man and found he was taking refuge in Cau Giay district. The Korean criminal was arrested shortly afterward.
VOV.VN - The police in the central city of Da Nang are completing procedures in order to transfer two arrested Korean nationals wanted by the INTERPOL to the Republic of Korea.
VOV.VN -Working in co-ordination with forces from Thach Thang ward, police in Hai Chau district successfully arrested Lee Sam, a Korean national wanted for drug offences, at the Novotel hotel in the central city of Danang on September 29.
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has asked the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) to issue a red notice for the owner of the Nhat Cuong Mobile store chain, Bui Quang Huy, who was charged with smuggling and violating regulations of accounting, causing serious consequences.
