VOV.VN - A haul of approximately 30 kilograms of MDMA and 1.5 kg of Ketamine have been discovered in packages recently imported into Vietnam by postal services after being sent from France.
The Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department confirmed on August 16 that it had co-ordinated efforts with anti-smuggling officers to inspect a total of 10 suspicious parcels.
The drugs, which had been sent from France, were hidden inside packaged candy and chocolate wrappers.
The parcels were addressed to various fake recipients and addresses. If the drugs haul had gone undiscovered by police forces, then the people involved in the operation would have found ways to receive the package via delivery order tricks, customs officials said.
