
VOV.VN - Sailing vessel HQ 286 - Le Quy Don of the Vietnam People’s Navy arrived in Port of Surabayar, the second busiest sea port in Indonesia, on July 17, beginning a working visit and exchange programme with the Indonesian Navy.
Operations Assistant for Danlantamal V, Marine Colonel Muhammad Taufik welcomed the vessel’s working visit, which he said would be an opportunity to promote cooperation and exchanges between the two countries’ navies.
In response, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy Nguyen Dinh Giang expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Indonesian Navy and believed that the visit would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and trust between the two countries’ armies and navies.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, Indonesian navy officers embarked the vessel and held an exchange with officers and soldiers on board.
During their stay from July 17-20, the Vietnamese delegation comprising 120 officers, soldiers and students of the Vietnam Naval Academy will conduct many activities and exchanges with the Indonesian Navy.
This is the second time sailing vessel HQ 286 - Le Quy Don has visited Indonesia after the first in 2019.
