VOV.VN - Following the capsizing of the Vinh Xanh 58 tourist boat in Ha Long Bay on July 19, functional forces in northern Quang Ninh province have continued to mobilize all available personnel and equipment to expand the search for the two missing victims.
Across the bay, the Quang Ninh provincial Police working closely with other relevant agencies have deployed multiple teams to conduct search operations. A total of 28 vessels have been mobilized, with searches focusing on the waters around islands, rocky outcrops, and along the shoreline.
Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Duc Tho, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Division under the Quang Ninh provincial Police, said the unit is maintaining close coordination with the waterway police, local police in coastal communes and wards, the border guard, and the Ha Long Bay Management Board. They have also been encouraging fishermen to actively assist in the search.
As of now, among the 49 people aboard the Vinh Xanh 58 when the incident occurred, 10 have been rescued, 37 bodies have been found and handed over to families, while two remain missing.
