Two foreign tourists rescued after being swept into rock crevice in Dak Lak
VOV.VN - Two foreign tourists have been rescued after being swept into a rocky crevice by strong waves while swimming at a beach in Dak Lak province, central Vietnam.
VOV.VN - Two tourists from the Republic of Korea have recovered all their documents and belongings just hours after losing a wallet in Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province.
Kang Hye-ge, 31, and Im You-jin, 30, both Korean nationals, arrived at the headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command on June 4 to receive a lost wallet containing important documents and personal belongings.
Earlier that day, while traveling to work, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tin, head of the Administrative Control Team at Dam Mon Border Guard Station under the Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command, found a black wallet lying on Dinh Tien Hoang Street in Nha Trang ward.
After checking the contents, he discovered permanent residence registration documents, an entry visa, international bank cards, and cash inside the wallet. Realising the importance of these documents for foreign visitors staying and traveling in Vietnam, he immediately handed the wallet over to the authorities for verification and identification of its owner.
Following the report, the Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command coordinated with the Immigration Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police and the police unit at Cam Ranh International Airport border gate to trace the owner of the lost property.
By around 6 p.m. the same day, the two Korean tourists arrived at the office and were handed back all documents and belongings after completing verification procedures.
After receiving the wallet, Kang expressed gratitude and appreciation to the authorities, saying losing the documents could have caused significant difficulties for their trip in Vietnam.
